Overview
There is always an action gap between Knowledge and Behavior. This workshop aims to extend the link between Leadership theory and Leadership behavior through skill practice. If we accept that there are three stages to learning: Cognitive (Understanding), Associative (practice), and Automation (mastery) then this workshop focuses on developing participant leadership skills to the second stage of learning: Associative.
The participants are then empowered to take away those skills they find relevant to practice further in the workplace so as to achieve Mastery. As a result of this workshop’s focus on the development of skills it becomes a very practical, fulfilling and dynamic exploration of those essential skills for emerging leaders. Fostering their leadership development in their complex and at times hazardous environment where team performance is crucial. Thus the whole workshop learning is centered on individual participant practice of essential skills.
It is not power point centered but rather activity focused. This dynamic educational environment is bolstered by self-assessment and experiential learning activities throughout, causing individuals to reflect on their leadership behaviors and to aspire to be great leaders no matter where they stand in their organization.
