Overview

An introduction to AI for HR Professionals. What it is and how it can make your work life easier.

Confused about AI? Don’t really understand the difference between Chat GPT and Midjourney? Never heard of Dall-E? This workshop will provide an overview of Artificial Intelligence (AI) – what it is, and how you can use it. We’ll start with the basics and learn the language of AI. What is AI? What’s an LLM? What do we mean by Generative AI? Next, we’ll look at some common free AI tools you may have heard of, and some familiar tools that are now using AI to improve their services. We’ll look at where these AI tools are most useful and what their limitations are helping you use the tools more effectively.

We’ll go through the common AI tools that have a subscription model and how to decide when it’s worth paying for them. With a focus on ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and ImageFX (a free AI image generator) we’ll use the tools to become more familiar with how they can help us with day-to-day tasks. From overcoming blank-page paralysis, to creating presentations with ease, AI can help free up time for you to focus on more significant parts of your role. We’ll spend time looking at how AI tools are enhancing HR practices from learning creation to recruitment. Want to take it further? We’ll go through what’s involved to customise your own AI tools and where to get more help. Finally, we’ll look at how AI could help more widely across your business.
